About Shandelle – Elite Show Coach & Rider Developer
Shandelle is a passionate educator and high-performance riding coach with degrees in Education and Arts from Lakehead University. Her focus is on developing confident, capable show riders—from grassroots competitors to seasoned juniors—through structured, progressive training.
With international experience working under Olympian Beth Underhill and Nicole Walker (Adena Springs), Shandelle blends elite-level insight with a strong teaching foundation. She has coached riders to success at both local and major shows, including the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair and U.S. hunter equitation circuits.
Shandelle formerly led the equestrian program at Queen Margaret’s School, Canada’s only in-house school riding academy, and now mentors aspiring coaches and evaluates riders through Canada's national coaching development program.
As a 2025 Director of the Vimy Western Riding Club and 2026 Cowichan District Riding Club, Shandelle is dedicated to excellence in the show ring—and to creating a positive, professional training experience where riders feel prepared, confident, and ready to win.
BROOKE BAIRD- JR COACH- RIDER LEVEL 6
Brooke's training background spans dressage to Second Level and hunters and jumpers up to 3', giving her a comprehensive, cross-disciplinary foundation that informs her coaching philosophy and instructional approach.
As both an accomplished rider and emerging coach, Brooke offers students the benefit of firsthand expertise, demonstrating correct position, technique, and feel while delivering clear, structured instruction. She is distinguished by her meticulous attention to detail and her genuine, kind approach to teaching—qualities that create a positive and productive learning environment for riders at every stage of their development.
Brooke is currently accepting a limited number of students, providing a select group of riders the opportunity to train under her guidance as she continues to build her coaching career with a strong foundation in both riding excellence and instructional development.
DANICA - JR COACH- RIDER LEVEL 6
Danica, specializing in introducing the youngest riders to the world of horses. Following Shandelle's Young Rider Development Program, Danica brings structured lesson plans and engaging games to life, helping each child build confidence in the saddle while having fun every step of the way.
With a warm and friendly nature, Danica takes the time to build genuine relationships with every rider, making each child feel valued and welcome. Her calm demeanor and soft, encouraging tone create a safe and nurturing environment—one where young riders can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Combined with her sharp attention to detail, Danica ensures that every lesson is both enjoyable and foundational, setting riders up for lasting success as they progress through the program.
Danica's gift for connecting with children makes her an invaluable part of the team, and a favorite among the program's youngest and newest riders.
