Shandelle received a double degree in university. Bachelor’s of arts and Education at Lakehead University in 2016. In the summer months of her studies Shandelle worked for renowned horse women and horsemen, travelling nationally and internationally. As a young rider, she competed in eventing discipline. As an adult, she worked for Beth Underhill of Beth Underhill stables in Southern Ontario, and Nicole Walker of Adena Springs, in Canada and Europe. Years of working for top riders Shandelle has a broad and deep understanding of correct training and care from a young horse to international FEI Olympic qualifiers. While attending University Shandelle co-Founded Lakehead University Equestrian Team Thunder Bay. As team captain she successfully competed in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association ( IHSA) hunter equitation circuit, in the USA. While attending university, Shandelle taught riding lessons from beginner to intermediate riders coaching them at local horse shows as well as prepping them for the Royal Brandon Manitoba winter fair. Shandelle is passionate about continuing education. Shandelle was previous head Equestrian Coach at Queen Margaret’s School. The only school in Canada to have an in-house Equestrian program. Shandelle is a mentor to students who want to become coaches. Shandelle evaluates and tests students and coaches. Shandelle was selected to represent B.C as a learning leader to help coach Canadian coaches in a new program launching nationally in Canada.
